Cynthia Bio

CYNTHIA IRVINE ~ BSCPT

Cynthia enjoys working with clients of all ages with a focus on patients being active in their program. Cynthia believes in taking time with her patients - listening to and treating the whole person. Cynthia hopes to be able to offer some in-home physiotherapy care in the future for clients who are unable to travel to the clinic.

Cynthia grew up on a farm in Nova Scotia, where she played lots of sports and was very involved in the 4H program. Outside the clinic, Cynthia enjoys cycling, weight training at the gym, hiking, spending lots of time outside, and being present with her family. She has worked as a volunteer at a national and international figure skating championship and has volunteered at her children’s schools, with the Comox Valley Minor Hockey Association, and at the Military Family Resource Centre since moving to BC.

Education & Training:

Cynthia graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University in 1997. She has worked in many different settings including private clinics, hospitals, and on military bases in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and here in British Columbia. Cynthia has attained multiple manual therapy levels and completed courses in Sahrmann muscle balancing, Gibbons dynamic stability, foot mechanics and orthotic therapy, orthopedic taping, and her first level of acupuncture training.
