Welcome, Stephanie!

We’re sending a big welcome to our newest team member and physiotherapist - Stephanie Galitzine

To get to know Stephanie a little bit, we sat down with her for a short Q & A….

CPC: What are you most looking forward to about joining the team at Comox Physiotherapy?

SG: I’m passionate about delivering whole-person physiotherapy care and am really looking forward to supporting clients to help them optimize their quality of life. 

CPC: Tell us a little about your education and training experience.

SG: I have an undergraduate degree in Sport and Fitness Leadership - Exercise and Wellness from Camosun College. Later, I studied at the University of British Columbia where I graduated with a Master in Physical Therapy. I’ve also pursued other professional development courses in pelvic health, cancer care, and chronic pain. 

CPC: What do you like to do to stay active?

SG: I grew up playing multiple team sports and played volleyball at the collegiate level. More recently, I’ve been expanding my own athletic pursuits to mountain sports and am really excited to explore what the Comox Valley has to offer!

CPC: Give us 3 other interesting tidbits about yourself…

SG: 1. Prior to going into physio, I worked as a clinical exercise physiologist at a cancer centre. 2. I truly believe in how the combination of physical, mental, social, and spiritual health impacts performance and well-being. 3. I’m a registered yoga teacher!
